Our Programs

Nursery

The Oak Tree Nursery Program is centred on caring for our babies in a nurturing and caring environment.

We assist our younger children to make positive connections with their immediate environment and with the adults and children around them.

Within this program babies and toddlers will be guided to develop their social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills at their own pace.

Through play, social interaction and guided learning experiences such as music, artistic activities, story telling and physical play, babies and toddlers grow in confidence and independence.

Toddlers

We create opportunities for our curious toddlers to learn through personal and interactive exploration of the learning environment. Our games and toys are designed to stimulate the early stages of reading, writing and problem solving. Our staff’s thoughtful interaction provides a balance between independent play and needing to be close to a trusted adult.

Your child will actively acquire language through our playful reading of books, singing, and artistic and technological activities. With assistance, all children will gain confidence in self-help skills including feeding themselves, going to the toilet, dressing and decision making.

Pre-School

Our school readiness program has been developed using the fundamental elements of the National Early Years Learning Framework. The program provides the stepping stones and the foundations to transition children from Early Childhood environments to the School Environment.

The school readiness program is designed to assist children in being prepared for school while remaining fun and interactive for all children.

EYLF

As a high quality service we are always working towards high quality care, this means keeping up to date with what’s new in the industry and learning, adapting and involving these practices in our service. One of the newest and largest practices that have been introduced to the childcare industry is the Early Years Learning Framework, commonly known as EYLF.

This practice takes on a more holistic approach when working with children and is more child focused. It brings into account the individual needs and interests of the children and encourages caregivers to use intentional teaching and post programming techniques to assist children in their learning and development.

As a centre striving to excel in quality practice we have developed programming practices that are inclusive of the Early Years Framework and provide regular training for our staff in this area.

Please feel free to request more information about our Early Years Framework initiative as our lovely staff will be happy to assist you.
